Main Street

The Main Street is Oranjestad is officially called Caya G. F. Betico Croes.  It has recently been transformed into a pleasant, pedestrian-friendly shopping street and tourist attraction.

A streetcar runs from the cruise ship terminal to Plaza Nicky Habibe at the end of Main Street.  Visitors can ride the double-decker streetcar for free and enjoy a birds-eye view of downtown Oranjestad.

We recommend that you board the streetcar at any convenient stop and complete a return trip.  You can then hop-off and hop-on at attractions that interest you most.

Please note that the streetcars run daily between 10 AM until 1 PM.  They don't operate on Sundays.
